In the past 2 weeks, I feel like I’ve been around the world and back – with no time for anything crafty.  I just feel that way, though… I have been able to get some things done, but not the amount I wanted to…

After the trip to New York, I left everything half-packed, knowing I was heading back out of town for a conference our church hosts each year.  So in the week of our house being in chaos, Big Boy got sick, a dear family friend passed away, Hubby’s band started ramping up for the biggest gig of their career.  The house slipped even further into chaos…

…and I decided to become the merchandising manager for Hubby’s band.  I made T-shirts using the freezer paper method I used here

The band’s name is Jericho Project, and they play Christian rock music.  They’ve been playing together for the past 4 years or so, and they just recently have built up a good repertoire of their own music.  They sent out a demo CD to a planner of some summer concerts here in Richmond, and they were called to do a concert at an outdoor ampitheater!  The guys are super-nervous, but they are going to rock!  They played at a coffee shop last week before we went to our church’s conference, and it was literally standing-room-only.  I’m so proud.

So now I am cutting more freezer paper stencils for t-shirts… when Big Boy and I wore our brand-spanking new ones to the coffee shop performance, everyone wanted one.  I’m going to try to watch Etsy.com’s live tutorial this Thursday on screen-printing – that will have to make this whole process easier.  I can’t keep cutting out these freezer paper stencils – I can only use each one a couple times before they no longer stick to the t-shirt.

I’ll let you know how the concert goes… I’m bringing my Flip video to the concert, so I’ll try to post a song here, if I can figure that out on my own…

My June socks from the Domestic Betty’s Baker’s Dozen KAL…. not so much done on those.  Pretty much the same progress as before the conference.  Who knew that chasing after six 2 to 3 year olds would be so exhausting?  I was hoping to be able to get some knitting done in between the ministries and after the boys went to bed.  Huh… What in the world was I thinking?!?   The July pattern is up at the Domestic Bettys… I really like this pattern!  I hope I’ll be able to knit this one up quicker, because it’s a worsted weight yarn… here’s to hoping!
