This has been the most fun week ever! I’ve loved reading everyone’s comments – and it’s not like you have just been entering for the giveaways – you’ve left some wonderful notes that are really encouraging to me! Thank you so much, everyone!
I am excited to wrap up this week with one of my most recent newest things – a craft I became obsessed with over the summer, and it threatened to push my yarny-pursuits off the radar completely (although, I’m not sure if that could ever happen…) – paper cutting!
For my last Bloggy Giveaway giveaway, I will give one lucky commenter a custom designed paper cutting.
This might not sound special, but I feel like I’m really putting myself out there with this one. The other giveaways I’ve been giving things that I love but that I don’t really have much creative input into on my own (OK, the owl was pretty creative, but I’ve been sewing for as long as I can remember. I’ve only been cutting paper for a couple months). I’ve only designed a couple things myself, but I’ve been so pleased with how they’ve turned out, and I’ve gotten a great response from them…
Here are most of the things I’ve cut…
1. Big Boy Rocket, 2. Little Man Space Ship, 3. robot, 4. leaf, 5. dandelion blowing, 6. celtic knot 2, 7. flowers, 8. dandelion 2, 9. dandelion 1
The other things I’ve cut I’ve either not been happy with or not taken a picture of (whoops!). Four of the cuttings I designed myself (numbers 1, 2, 4, and 5). The others I used pictures as guides, with some modifications to make them appropriate for cutting.
If you win this giveaway, I will design and cut a custom piece of art for you – your choice of sizes (up to 12×12 inches – I work mostly in cardstock and use a lot of scrapbook paper) and your choice of colors, your choice of theme and wording… If you have a child that you’d like something special for their room, I’ve got some more great ideas along the lines of numbers 1 and 2… If you have a floral pattern that you adore in your dining room table cloth and would like a matching cutting for the wall, I’ll whip one up. If you’d like to give your mother-in-law a special gift for Christmas to go with her southwestern-themed sunroom, I’ll try my best! And I’ll have it to you way in advance of Christmas! I will not frame it – that part will be up to you.
To win this custom cutting, please leave me a comment (with a valid email address) letting me know what you think you might like as a design if you win. You won’t be held to that though – you can always change you mind when you win and start to really think about it. Comments will be accepted through the end of the day (12:00am PST), and the drawing will occur on Saturday, November 1.
If this is your first time here, take a look around – I’d love for you to come back again! Also, check out my Bloggy Giveaways from Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and Thursday, the giveaway on my other blog, and the others at the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival site!!! This has been a wonderful week – it’s been fun meeting all of you!!!

Your art is so lovely! I would love a hawaiian flower!
What a great idea! I haven’t tried papercutting yet, but it is wonderful to look at. If I won, I would probably like a flower of some kind…like a stargazer lily, or dahlia, even a hibiscus! For the paper colour it could be done in light blues and dark greens (my bedroom colors…hopefully).
I’m having a giveaway on my blog also. Today’s the last day! It’s for a sterling silver wire wrapped Pearl ring and 2 artist trading cards. Internationals welcome
seriously would not know right now but have a few ideas rolling- great idea
I’ve been checking out all of your giveaways for the week and this one really stood out to me. I’d probably commission (if I win) a cut out of some gears. My husband is a professor of mechanical engineering and he could use a clever gift like this for Christmas. It would look great in his office!
I like the Celtic Knot. If I won I might choose a Celtic Cross, or something like that. Thanks.
My daughter loves all things Celtic, so I would probably have you design a Celtic knot pattern for her room. What a great idea for a giveaway!
Hmmm. I LOVE your dandelion 1. How creative. If I were to win I think I would like a butterfly for my cousin for Christmas. She loves flutterbys!
thanks,
I love the dandelions, because my boys always pick them and bring them to me. I know that to many they are weeds but to me thay mean LOVE!!!
)
These are so unique and fun! If I won, I would love to have something made for my daughter’s room. Possibly something like the first two you made, with the words “Little Kat” and a cat design. I really like the simplicity of the flowers too, though. Tough choice!

I would love to see butterflies for my little girl!
I’ll love to have something for my mum.. Maybe a side profile of a victorian lady? I have something nice in mind!

That is so neat. I am always just amazed at how many talented people there are out in this world (and we should all be supporting these people, not the people in China that are mass-producing things).
I am going to put her blog in my favorites section. I loved the dandelion blowing and the leaf. I don’t know what I would want. I really love dragonflies.
I love #4!!!
Hmm. Such a great giveaway.. Maybe a shape of a dancer? I love dance & i’ve never seen anybody make a shape before… Love to win this! Your cuttings are really pretty!
I think I would like a sports jersey with a number 5 on it for my little boys room. This was his first year in sports and that was his number. He was SOOO proud of it!

I am not sure what I would like you to make if I win. That is something I will really have to think about. I love your work. You are very talented. Thanks for the chance to win.
It would be hard to choose, but I think I’d have to induldge and go with a ball of yarn and knitting needles.
I would love to having something like a tree or something magical for my girl’s room!
I really really love plum blossom pictures, so something like that would be nice!

I would love a flower of some sort – maybe an orchid if you can do those. Your paper cuttings look amazing!
Great job! I really like the leaf!! Thanks for the giveaway!
How generous, to be giving away a piece of original art! I’d be honored to win! And here’s what I’d ask you to design for me (bear with me, it’s a little odd):
My house has a relatively secret crawl space built into the ceiling over one of our hallways. The space is about as wide as a full-sized bed and tall enough for an adult to sit upright inside with very little difficulty. For this reason we’ve decided to keep it open as an extra sleeping space for unanticipated guests. Now, this space has somehow acquired the slightly unsavory name of “The Morgue,” which I love, despite the morbid connotations. What I am looking for is some piece of art that I can hang inside this space that somehow incorporates the essence of the Morgue. It can be pretty much anything, really, we’re an open and accomodating bunch. Thanks for the chance at winning! And for hearing me out.
(See, told you it was a little odd.)

What beautiful work! I don’t have the time, patience, or talent to do something so intricate. I love the Celtic knot and the dandelions. If I am lucky enough to win, I’d love to see what kind of design you’d make with a knitting/crocheting/yarny goodness theme. I want to redecorate my bathroom, and be surrounded by pics of my favorite thing while I take a bath!
Wow, this is awesome and something I want to try on my own! The results are amazing.
I would love a beautiful full tree with a dog underneath looking up. Nice work.
These are so beautiful. I’d love something for my son room. He’s so into nature and animals, so I’d love to do something along those lines. You are very talented! Thanks for the giveaway!
I like the flower ones. So probably something like that.

Amazing.
I would love a hummingbird.

I really love the dandelion blowing in the wind. I think that is such a neat piece. Very cool work, you are talented!
Thanks for the contest.
Oh, Leigh! This is *really* the one I want to win! Do you think you could do a silhouette? Or a fairy? Or a pirate? Or a name?
Oh, there are too many possibilities!
ps–I think you should do a vlog about these. I want to see how you actually do this!
i love that dandelion. how long does it take you?? these are great i’d keep it and frame it in a shadow like box and mount it so its lifted from the background some. Great giveaway! I hope I’m chosen as the lucky winner!
I love the white dandelion! The detail is amazing!
Thanks for the giveaway…
I love your artwork especially the leaf. You do a great job. I am just trying to get into scrapbooking since I just had a baby. It is hard to find the time between being a mom and full-time job….but I love one-of-a-kinds and handmade items.
OH my goodness – those are just amazing!
I would love to win one… especially for my little sister who lost her baby girl at a day old. Her nursery theme was butterflies, so that would be a heartwarming Christmas gift for her!

My son would love the Robot — it’s really cute! He is so into robots lately

I’d love to win this since I just moved into my first place and my walls are totally naked. I think I’d want a funky chandelier to hang above my bed.
What a difficult thing to have to decide on! These are the coolest but wow, what a choice! I’m thinking right now of something rather abstract in design. But then, I could give it to my daughter as a gift if I did something with daffodils, her favorite flower. Oooo, the possibilities!
a tree. love trees~!
I love flowers and picutures of clouds.
Thank you!

I love them all, but especially number 7, the flowers. You are very talented. I don’t have a creative bone in my body and am extremely envious of all of those people who can create magnificent things.
